MARCH 20, 2020

Partners and Clients,

In recent weeks, we’ve seen the growth of COVID-19 around the globe. As we watch how things will inevitably change over the days, weeks, and months across the country and in our communities, Gardner Builders’ approach to the situation will likewise inevitably evolve.

This is an extremely stressful time; many businesses are affected by the challenges brought on by COVID-19. We remain your grateful partner during this crisis, and we will continue to approach our work with the same values we work by every day – hospitality and transparency.

During this crisis, and every day that has come before and will come after, the health of our employees, clients, trade partners, design partners, and communities comes first. We take seriously our obligation to be a good corporate citizen, which in this case, means helping to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. We shared with our employees, trade partners, and design partners the health and safety guidelines from the CDC and reinforced their importance. Our office employees are now working from home; our field staff is still working on site. We are working to identify the best ways to reduce exposure for everyone at all of our sites. Additionally, any site with potential exposure to COVID-19 has been shut down and will only reopen when it is safe to do so.

Our actions fall in line with our values. When a potential danger becomes known, we work with our employees and trade partners to understand it, and then respond to it. We value open and honest communication, and we will continue to share our decisions and processes as transparently as possible. Please know that your health and well-being is extremely important to us.

When we emerge from this crisis as a community and as a nation, Gardner Builders will gratefully lead the way in continuing to build the infrastructure of our future. In the meantime, we will get through this together and we will continue to plan and prepare for the great things we will do together.

Stay well. Stay optimistic.

With gratitude,

Bob Gardner
