Before joining Gardner in 2022, I ran my own residential handyman business for more than 20 years. Back in college, I studied to become a youth minister, but I always found myself drawn to volunteer opportunities that revolved around construction projects. What I enjoy most about my work is being able to build and fix things with my hands while helping people at the same time.
In fact, when I was newly married, I decided it would be a good idea to build a log home from a kit. I figured, how hard could it be? Thanks to some helpful neighbors and a very patient inspector, I got it done with only a few bumps and bruises along the way.
I was born and raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. I married my wife in 2000, and we have five kids together, all of whom are heavily involved in art and music. In my free time, I play guitar and sing in my church’s worship band. I also run a small screen-printing shop from my basement, designing and printing shirts for hockey tournaments, schools, and church groups.
Favorite Tool:
It’s hard to choose. I find just about any excuse to buy a new tool. I have
to say that I do use a 5 in 1 painters more often than I would imagine. It
comes in so handy.
Little Known Facts:
I’m a big Bears fan and have been since they won the Super Bowl in 1986.
My dad met my mom while crossing a very busy street in Mexico City. He was traveling around the world at the time and my mom just happened to miss her bus that morning. I now have many relatives in Mexico that are so fun to visit
