Brett S.
Global Safety Director
Born and raised in Oklahoma, I was brought up professionally as a pipeliner, valuing a strong family dynamic. Caring for and supporting each other was a way of being. That foundation continues to guide how I show up in construction today.
I’m an admitted (im)perfectionist, driven by a belief that safety goes far beyond rules and regulations. To me, safety has a personality. It reflects how people communicate, how accountability is handled, and how consistently teams care for one another on and off the jobsite. Building a zero-harm culture means nurturing sustainable partnerships, encouraging honest conversations, and keeping expectations clear at every level.
Resiliency is my superpower, and it informs my passion for raising the standard of both safety and mental health in the construction industry. By keeping things simple, staying curious, and asking better questions, I aim to challenge the status quo and help move the industry toward a more thoughtful, people-centered approach to safety and well-being.
