James S.

Skilled Laborer

I’ve spent 30 years working in the construction field, supporting downtown buildings through janitorial and engineering services as well as construction craft labor. I’ve been with Gardner since the very beginning and have had the opportunity to watch the company grow while being a steady, dependable team member throughout that journey. Much of my time at Gardner has been spent working night shifts, and I take pride in being someone others can count on to keep things running smoothly.

I’m passionate about servicing buildings and making sure every job is done well. That commitment has earned me a reputation as the “answer man” among many downtown building engineers, and I’m proud of the strong, trust-based relationships I’ve built with building management. I also enjoy mentoring others and sharing what I’ve learned along the way.

Outside of work, I teach Sunday school and enjoy golfing, leatherworking, and woodworking. Whether on the job or in my personal time, I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands, solving problems, and showing up for the people who depend on me.
