Paul O.
VDC Specialist
One of my favorite parts about working in the construction industry is driving past a finished building with my family and being able to say, “See that really tall building? I built that.” I’ve been a part of projects ranging from grain bin builds to 23-story high-rises using steel stud. It’s great to be part of a team that takes pride in every step of every project. I try to live by the saying “be the wheat in the weeds,” meaning that I strive to be someone who can be picked to fulfill goals. Colleagues and family know that they can lean on me during hardships and give an attentive ear when needed.
During my time with Gardner as a VDC Specialist, I have enjoyed getting to work with a larger array of projects and teams. For 13 years, I have had a passion for visualizing ideas and plans to enhance and streamline projects in a tangible way. Being able to understand each project and customer on a deeper level has become part of my daily routine and one day, a superpower of mine. There will never be two identical projects, and solving complex problems through the power of BIM has developed my passion to the next level.
Outside of work, I enjoy creating model buildings with my wife, designing and building through 3D printing and CAD, and spending time with our three pets at home.
