Carpenter 

Carpentry runs in my family on both my mom’s and dad’s sides as far as seven generations back, so it was no surprise when I went into construction in 1998. I worked in high-end residential framing and trim work for 19 years, and when I realized I was good at creative problem-solving and creating complex structures, it drove me to pursue even bigger opportunities.

At Gardner, I pride myself on my ability to tackle challenging tasks that require out-of-the-box solutions. I love that this job involves a variety of environments to keep things fresh, and working closely with other talented people is what I find most rewarding.

In my spare time, I like to study and practice preindustrial carpentry techniques – I enjoy using the latest technologies in construction at Gardner, but learning about how it used to be done is fascinating to me. A few things my colleagues may not know about me: I’m an Air Force veteran, and I once shook hands with Willie Nelson (and no, that’s not a euphemism).
