To me, hospitality is about creating genuine connections that go beyond surface-level conversation. It’s making people feel seen, comfortable, and valued for who they are. I've found the best way to do that is to show up curious and really listen.
I've been in construction since 2014, and what I like most is figuring out how materials work together. Understanding that lets me speak to the finer details and make sure projects are set up correctly from the start. I've been watching my dad build things since I was young, so getting into this industry has felt natural from the start. Continuously learning new skills helps me stay motivated, and as a project manager, I enjoy bringing all of those pieces together to keep projects moving smoothly
Outside of work, woodworking is my go-to creative outlet. I've built all of the non-upholstered furniture in my house. My dream is to eventually have a massive wood shop stocked with lots of heavy equipment for fast work, plus a full set of hand tools to fine-tune the details. I also enjoy spending time in my yard, especially tending to my lilac trees, and you'll find me at the Minnesota State Fair every year; it's one tradition I never skip.
