Marshal R.

Skilled Laborer

Having a hospitality mindset means making people feel welcome and at ease.

I’ve always enjoyed a good challenge and work that’s a little outside the box. I’m easygoing by nature, not afraid of heights, and I like roles that involve doing unique, hands-on work and learning something new along the way. That mindset is what ultimately brought me to the Gardner team in 2023.

My construction career has been anything but ordinary, ranging from climbing cell towers to commercial demolition to working as a derrickman on an oil rig. Those experiences taught me how to stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly, and take on unfamiliar challenges with confidence. One of my favorite parts of the job is watching a site transform from the very first day to the finished product and seeing a client’s vision come to life.

Outside of work, being a dad is what matters most to me. I love this phase of life with two young kids and all the activities that come with it. When I’m not on the job, you’ll usually find me hunting with my dog in the fall, spending time at the lake with my family in the winter, or cooking big, memorable meals for friends and family. Trips to the Boundary Waters are always a highlight, and I’m already looking forward to taking my kids there someday.
