For me, hospitality starts with listening with intention and following through on commitments. I try to go out of my way to make sure the people I interact with feel good after we've connected.
I got into construction by luck. After studying architecture, I landed a job at a design-build firm, where I started out drafting in the office before moving into the field. I began by cleaning jobsites, then took on material deliveries and receiving before eventually working my way up to running projects. I've been in construction since 2018, and the hands-on experience has shaped the way I approach building. Being onsite and serving the people who make a project happen — trade partners, clients, vendors — is where I find a lot of joy. I love the challenge of taking all the different trades and pieces that go into a building and figuring out how to put them together successfully. Site work is my favorite part — it's not the most precise side of construction, but I love the heavy equipment and the nuanced sequencing it takes to work with the earth and get it right.
I'm driven by the chance to improve myself, the business, the projects I'm on, and the people around me. I feel most engaged when I'm solving problems and building systems alongside others who share that same drive for improvement.
Outside of work, you'll find me golfing, working on vehicles, or hosting and entertaining. I've traveled to 11 countries and 33 states, and I've played golf at the Old Course at St. Andrews.
