Project Goal

OVO LASIK + LENS needed a show-stopping medical environment built around the patient experience

The flagship buildout paired a full clinic space with a complex LASIK surgery center, brought to life through custom millwork and intricate lighting that gave the space a whimsical, one-of-a-kind character.

Early planning for details that matter

A floor plan that optimizes the patient journey, supports staff efficiency, and reinforces the OVO identity

The project team worked closely with OVO’s surgeons and operational experts to understand their workflow, patients, and brand. From there, the design took its cues from LASIK itself: contour, shape, contrast, and view.

A contoured wood slat reception desk anchors the lobby, making arrival the first expression of the patient journey. That experience culminates in a double procedure room designed like a theater, where contoured ceiling elements and indirect lighting spotlight the lasers and give guests the opportunity to watch a LASIK procedure unfold in real time.

Local craftsmanship

When every detail matters, a contractor who knows the right local trade partners is key

The design treated light as a material of its own, using it to define shape, edge, and path throughout the clinic. A curated palette of glazed porcelain tiles, translucent fabrics, and natural birch kept the space clean and durable, while contoured wood slats added warmth and rhythm from lobby to procedure room.

Bringing those details to life required both precision and trusted local expertise. Our team used parametric modeling to develop the contoured wood slats, then partnered with local millworkers Artifex to turn the design into reality.

The result is a clinic where thoughtful design does more than create a distinctive experience. It strengthens the OVO brand and supports a successful business.
